The KOD is requested to call the speaker the Monday before the meeting. This will give the KOD a chance to see if the speaker has any special needs and is a good time to verify information about the speaker so they can make a proper introduction. Also get the speaker’s address so we can send a copy of the Builder.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
  • Reda Walsh announced an inner club with Castle Pines North Club on Tues April 18 12:00 at Celtic Crossing Restaurant, Castle Rock, We have 11 signed up. Directions – I-25 South , Exit Castle Pines parkway – go Left at shopping center to Celtic Crossing
  • John Forney – Update on Auto Rally
  • Dick Headstrom – Nominating committee is working hard on next year’s nominees. Also we need 2 people to man the store front August 4 & 5 at the convention. See Dallas.
  • Ed Schenck – We can still make contributions to HOBIE

    KOD Joe Lavigne introduced Jeff Lamontagne who spoke about the Second Wind Fund

    The Second Wind Fund provides funding for counseling for teens at risk for suicide. This group is unique in the United States and they are Colorado based. They partner with churches, corporate sponsors and civic clubs such as Kiwanis and individual volunteers to raise funds for this sole purpose.

    Their 4th Annual Walk Fund Raiser is Sunday, Sept. 18. For more information go to www.jeffersonfoundation.org.
